About Ruth
Ruth is a Solicitor at Beyond Corporate, having gained a training contract with the Group in early 2022. Following her time in the corporate team, Ruth qualified in the practice’s construction team, where she deals with both contentious and non-contentious construction matters for industry leading clients.
Prior to joining the Group, Ruth studied Law (LLB) at the University of Sheffield, where she gained a First-Class Honours. She particularly enjoyed the law of contract, tort and equity and has relished in gaining hands on commercial experience in her corporate and construction seats.
Alongside her studies, Ruth partook in pro bono work where she provided free legal advice on a range of commercial and non-commercial matters to members of the community; something which enabled her to gain invaluable insight into a wide range of disciplines and ultimately led to her becoming a more well-rounded junior lawyer.
Following University, Ruth joined an international law firm and gained contentious experience, advising insurer clients and defending claims on their behalf. Gaining litigation experience has meant that Ruth has been able to apply such knowledge in her construction seat, and is thoroughly enjoying the world of commercial litigation.
