September is statistically the busiest month for divorces and 2023 is predicted to see the most separations in fifty years. This has been put down to coming out of the pandemic and the current cost of living crisis pushing couples to the limit. Last April the new ‘no contest’ divorce was introduced which also contributed to the end of the marriage. Family lawyer Amanda McAlister is here to assess the options and explain why a ‘quickie’ divorce might actually be anything but speedy!
