About Nicola
Nicola is an accredited Children’s Panel Solicitor and Partner within McAlister Family Law.
She has experience in representing parents, local authorities, grandparents and children in a wide range of Public Law and private law matters.
Nicola’s experience ranges from cases involving elements of emotional, physical and sexual abuse to those involving brain injuries, suspected shaken baby matters as well as infantile death due to possible non-accidental injuries. She has also dealt with cases involving suspected FII (Fabricated or induced illness) and Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) as well as cases involving slavery, sex trafficking and suspected radicalisation of children and family members. In one such case the High Court Judge used an emoji, in his official Judgment, to help children understand the family law. Nicola regularly practices in Manchester, Lancashire, Cheshire, Merseyside and London.
