About Ruth
Ruth is one of the North West’s most experienced and respected Children Lawyers.
As a childcare specialist and previous foster parent Ruth has a wealth of experience as to how difficult life can become and prides herself in being able to overcome adversity which helps her to support her clients through whatever life changing challenges that they are facing.
Given Ruth’s experience as a foster parent, she has had to navigate the devastating effects that children can suffer when their parents are unable to parent for whatever reason, and has had to work with a host of professionals supporting children through that process.
Ruth represents parents, grandparents, stepparents, and teenagers themselves which provides her with the reputation that she has as being empathetic, understanding and most of all having a calm but a firm personality with steely determination to obtain the best possible outcomes for families, with an absolute passion for putting the children first and foremost.
Ruth has been recognised for over 20 years as an Accredited Child Law Specialist by the Law Society, and is also trained in the collaborative law process which gives her a balanced view of family disputes and an alternative way of resolving of what can be emotionally charged and difficult family breakdowns.
Ruth is also a Member of the Cheshire and Merseyside Family Justice Board and a Member and on the Committee of the Association of Lawyers for Children, both of which give her different perspectives which compliments her working life.
Ruth also has many years of experience in separation, divorce, financial issues, and cohabitation matters which allows her to provide a holistic all-round legal service to her clients.
