Beyond Corporate advises Gino D’Acampo Hotels and Leisure on new restaurant opening in Leeds Marriot

Beyond Law Group’s Manchester-based corporate and commercial practice, Beyond Corporate, has undertaken all legal work in relation to the transaction.

Located at the recently refurbished Leeds Marriott Hotel in the city centre, Gino D’Acampo’s latest project is expected to launch in the Spring.

Beyond Corporate real estate Partner, Hannah Al-Shaghana, has been the legal representative for Gino D’Acampo Hotels and Leisure Limited since its inception over two years ago and has been involved in all of its hotel restaurant property acquisitions for the UK’s favourite Italian chef.

The transaction was led by Beyond Corporate real estate Partner, Hannah Al-Shaghana, who has been Beyond Corporate’s principal advisor and lead real estate lawyer for Gino D’ Campo Hotels and Leisure since its inception. Hannah has a strong reputation in the investment and leisure sectors and is recognised by Legal 500 and Chambers as “a leading individual, praised for her great communication skills”.

The work spanned supporting the Gino D’Acampo Hotels and Leisure group with their lease negotiation and dealing with all legal and commercial matters related to the lease.

The leasehold acquisition in Leeds Marriott Hotel saw an investment of £2 million in the iconic building at Trevelyan Square near Boar Lane. The opening is expected to create 52 jobs for people living in the city.

Hannah Al-Shaghana comments “It is always a pleasure to work with the incredible team at Gino D’Acampo Hotels and Leisure group and it is wonderful to be a part of its growth into the hotel sector. The new site at Leeds Marriot is the perfect location for the new restaurant and its opening will be a very welcome addition to the city’s food and drink scene.”

Previously, Gino has launched restaurants in other major cities including Manchester, Newcastle, Liverpool and London as part of his strategy to open further upmarket restaurants in major UK and affluent suburbs. He has also hinted he is soon to announce his first international location.
