Our foundations originate from our own experiences in “Big Law” – both private practice and industry.
Big law firms tend to mean following the crowd, a process or a precedent. Institutions don’t push boundaries, create challenge or something new, and we wanted to create something which connected with businesses and individuals not only transactionally but also on a personal and human level.
Through our business model and brand, our mission is to challenge the traditional – bringing disruption, dynamism, agility and human connection to a profession which has historically been viewed as tedious, staid and lacking empathy.

Our brand is who we are, what we look like and how we talk about ourselves.
At the heart of our brand is a rebellious, forward-thinking, modern business which is looking to revolutionise professional services, challenging perceptions of the sector and producing exceptional experience for our clients.
A key part of our brand is our visual identity – our logo, colours, font and voice. We use the BE logo to reinforce the connection of our practices and encourage positive affirmations for our people and our clients.
We use the black and yellow colours to reflect our vibrancy, boldness and optimism, and enable us to stand out from the crowd.
Because we are one firm, three practices
Beyond Law Group has consistent brand personalities for its three specialist practices: Beyond Corporate, McAlister Family Law and Home Property Law.
These identities have been created to support the strategic ambitions of the Group as a whole, and its purpose. Each practice logo re-enforces the central Group brand and positively builds up our corporate Group, its values, and its beliefs.
Because our roots are in the North
Disruption and innovation are reflected in the places where we choose to work. With most law firms being housed in glass buildings, high rises and business communities, we wanted to provide our people and clients with something totally different, with a nod to our northern roots and working-class DNA.
We are straight talking, lack pretence and are friendly and approachable, but we also work hard.
To reflect these values, our HQ is based in the centre of Manchester – in the heart of Castlefield Basin next to the Manchester Ship Canal.
Our office is a renovated warehouse with open spaces, the freedom to breathe and that feeling of “Yes this is great environment, and it’s different. The kind of space that says, “that’s where I want to work when I grow up”.
