Beyond Law Group announces the appointment of new solicitor, Mairead Williams, to its specialist family and children law practice, McAlister Family Law, following a strong period of growth and success.

Beyond Law Group’s award-winning practice, McAlister Family Law, has established one of the largest specialist Children Law teams outside of London and is home to some of the UK’s leading Children Law experts, nine of whom are members of the Law Society’s Advanced Children Panel. Unlike most practices, McAlister Family Law acts not only for parents, grandparents and stepparents, but also children themselves.

The strength and depth of the Children Law team is supported by its many accreditations, including the Law Society Children Law Accreditation Panel, the Institute of Family Law Arbitrators, and the Institute of Family Law.

Mairead started her career at Lewis Rogers Solicitors where she practiced for five years and qualified as a solicitor in 2019. Mairead joins McAlister Family Law’s Children team from Berkson Family Law in Liverpool, where she has worked for the past two years, specialising in public law, private law children and domestic abuse cases.

Throughout her career, Mairead has represented a wide range of clients, including parents, grandparents and extended family members. Mairead’s primarily focus at McAlister Family Law will be on care matters, handling a varied caseload including contact disputes, child arrangement orders, discharge of care proceedings, adoption, special Guardianship Orders and NAI and FII.

The appointment of Mairead follows the most successful year to date for Beyond Law Group and its specialist practices. The Group’s concept brings corporate and consumer legal services together, a concept which has rarely been successful in the UK but which Beyond Law Group has achieved. The Group currently has a portfolio of three practices: Beyond Corporate, Beyond Conveyancing and McAlister Family Law.
