Beyond Law Group announces its 2022 promotions list across its specialist practices

North-West based Beyond Law Group has announced seven significant promotions across its specialist corporate, conveyancing and family law practices.

Beyond Law Group’s corporate law practice, Beyond Corporate, sees the promotion of director Mark Lupton to partner, who is part of Beyond Corporate’s core corporate transactional team.

Jim Truscott, who heads Beyond Corporate’s corporate law team commented on Mark’s promotion: “Mark is incredibly deserving of this promotion and we are delighted to see him being appointed Partner. Our Corporate revenues have been growing strongly, as has the team, and Mark’s appointment to Partner will assist us in meeting the Group’s strategy for further developing career opportunities across the team, strengthening our management and leadership and enabling us to plan for the future shape of the corporate team.

It also enables us to bring through our junior lawyers and ensures that we have consistently strong service levels at all levels within the team. We are delighted to be seeing the team strengthened by the appointment and looking forward to continue working with Mark in his new position.”

The Group’s specialist family and children law practice, McAlister Family Law, sees the promotion of senior associate Nicola McDaid to partner, who becomes the ninth female partner to be appointed in the Group. McAlister Family Law also saw the promotion of associates Melissa Jones and Therasa Kenny to senior associate, and solicitors Heather Lucy and George Wilson to associate.

Melissa and Heather are part of McAlister Family Law’s divorce and finance team and Nicola, Therasa and George work in the practice’s specialist children law team.

Amanda McAlister, Managing Partner of McAlister Family Law, said: “The last two years have seen the pandemic put a lot of strain on families and inevitably our workload has increased significantly. However, the team has faced this head on, going above and beyond to ensure client service is not compromised. We are absolutely delighted to recognise Nicola, Melissa, Therasa, Heather and George’s hard work, dedication and development with these promotions.”

Beyond Law Group’s specialist conveyancing practice, Beyond Conveyancing sees the promotion of solicitor Stephanie Nield to associate.

Sarah Edwards, Partner and Head of Beyond Conveyancing, comments on Stephanie’s promotion: “Stephanie has played a crucial role in the development of the Group’s Conveyancing practice since its recent launch and particularly as workloads continue to increase, which we believe to be due to our distinct high-quality offering which is focused on exceptional client service and engagement.

Steph is also an absolute delight to work with and the promotion is testament to her development within Beyond Conveyancing and the wider Group. The promotion also enables us to plan for the future and shape the career development of our team. It is thoroughly deserved and is testament to the commitment of our people.”

The promotions come shortly after Beyond Law Group recently announced it has offered training contracts to four of its talented paralegals, sending a clear message that it is focused on career development and creating a strong, supportive and nurturing environment for its people.

Beyond Law Group, which was established in 2017, prides itself on developing and nurturing its own talent and only accepts training contract applications from internal candidates. The Group is also keen to facilitate new pathways to careers in law and break down the barriers to entry, and as such currently sponsors four apprentices, who again – were all internal candidates.

Beyond Law Group has gone from strength to strength, with its innovative business structure and modern people focused outlook. The Group has created an inspiring working environment that is becoming increasingly attractive for client and service-focused teams and individuals who want to work in and with a positive engaged and dynamic legal business.

Matt Fleetwood, Chief Executive and Founder of Beyond Law Group, said: “We are delighted to be able to announce the promotions of Mark, Nicola, Melissa, Therasa, Heather, George and Stephanie. These promotions are very well deserved. We are proud to see each of them progress their careers with the Group and we celebrate their commitment and success.

Development and career progression for our people is a key part of our strategy across the Group. Whether our people began their careers with us or joined at a more advanced level, we are committed to training and developing our talent and moving them forward in their careers as quickly as they develop. The great service that we can provide to our clients is only possible due to the hard-work, talent and personality of the people we have within the Group. They are together creating their own cohesive culture within the Group and this is becoming even more critical as we embark on our next phase of strategic growth.”
