About Jim
Jim was a corporate lawyer at leading national and international firms for over 15 years before he joined Beyond Law Group in 2017. As one of the original team members responsible for establishing the specialist corporate and commercial practice, Beyond Corporate, he has led the Corporate team for the past five years.
Predominantly focusing on merger and acquisition work, Jim also handles the day-to-day corporate needs of business clients across various areas, including corporate reorganizations, equity structuring, and joint ventures.
Jim is inspired by individuals who are willing to take business risks, understanding that commercial ventures can sometimes falter. He primarily collaborates with management teams and business owners who possess an entrepreneurial mindset.
Jim derives satisfaction from working with reputable individuals and fostering long-term relationships with client businesses, particularly in assisting them in navigating and simplifying complex (sometimes frustrating) transactional processes. He believes that the best deals are achieved through a calm, measured, and commercially-focused approach.
I am fortunate to have established a strong reputation and network in the region, and have long-term relationships with a number of our key clients, including Supreme PLC, Benchmark Capital and Shawston International.
