About George
George graduated from Northumbria University with a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) and a Master of Laws (LLM), where he also worked as a legal advisor within the Student Law Office. George then joined Vardags as a paralegal in 2017, before being awarded a training contact only six months later. George later joined McAlister Family Law in 2020, as a solicitor, and was promoted to an Associate in 2022.
Early in his career, George chose to focus on Family Law, and has worked within various areas of that specialism, including private law children matters and issues surrounding the financial aspect of a divorce. George’s main area of work now revolves around cases involving both serving and retried Police officers, and other public servants such as a members of the National Crime Agency. George regularly attends workshops and surgeries with members of the Police force and has a genuine interest in, and strong connection to, such clients because of his close family ties to the Met.
Outside of work George has a keen interest in Rugby and Jiu-Jitsu and has representative honours in the former. George is also a keen golfer: “Despite the guarantee that I will lose at least 10 balls per round, I am always happy to squeeze in a round with contacts and clients alike.”
